If you're looking for a restaurant in LA that offers the best sunset view, there are several places to consider. One great choice is The Lobster, which is located on the Santa Monica pier.

Another option is The Penthouse on 2nd street in Santa Monica, located 1 block north of Wilshire. The Whaler is another restaurant which you will find in Marina Del Rey at the end of Washington Blvd. This place is not super fancy, but it's a lot of fun and the view cannot be beat. The Restaurant at the Getty offers another winning sunset view in Los Angeles, as does Castaways in Burbank. While it's not located on the west side of the city, the view is spectacular nonetheless, as long as you go when the weather is good.
